Andrea Giorgetti wins the "Airstone Project"

Andrea Giorgetti wins the "Progetto Airstone" creative competition promoted by Paul Meccanico in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata.

Great success with the public at the Spazio Lavi! of Sarnano. The young artists of the Macerata Academy of Fine Arts who participated in the contest dressed up as fashion designers by designing an Airstone bag, the maxi tote bag model designed by Paul Meccanico.

Andrea Giorgetti, graphic illustrator with his original tote bag oriented to the comic world, wins the contest. Second place is the Japanese artist Hisako Mori with a very refined abstract pattern. Third place for Diana Avenoso ahead of Giulia Maponi.
Also noteworthy are the out-of-competition creations made by teachers Paolo Gobbi and Marina Mentoni.

The collaboration between Paul Meccanico and the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata was born from the desire to unite the world of art and that of fashion, both united by the "art of knowing how to create": artistic creativity, in fact, takes the form of an accessory fashion, the women's bag, characterized by stylistic creativity and craftsmanship Made in Italy, moreover, Made in Marche.
The project called "AIRSTONE PROJECT", name of the model of the women's bag created, testifies how the creative potential of young artists and their imaginative abilities can positively affect production contexts and translate into new operating methods, with surprising results, in the relationship between artistic research and the world of work.
All the participating projects and the creations of the four winning boys will be exhibited in Sarnano at the Spazio Lavì, in Via Roma 8, from Saturday 23 April to Sunday 8 May 2016.
